Bespoke Woodwork

We currently take on work of all sorts, special requirements or requests for any type of woodwork including turning. In addition to Rocking horses I can restore other timber products of sentimental value, for instance we have restored a 90 year old tool box that belonged to a clients father. We do a range of industrial work. Sample blocks to support product for either testing exhibition or salesperson samples.

Repeat Edge System

For accurately and speedily repeating the grind or edge on carpenter chisels and wood turning tools. The advantage of the repeat-edge system over other variable adjustable sharpening jigs is the principle of quickly and repeatedly locking the jig accurately in position. Having ground your tools for the first time, setting angles and cut etc. you can then cut a piece of scrap wood and fit into the jig to set the distance. Next time you sharpen this tool select the piece of wood you have cut, for that tool slot into jig lock up and the grinding position is exactly as before. Full set up and operating instructions are included in the box. Grinding machine not included.

Product Testing Blocks

Made from different timbers we produce a range of different products for testing industrial products, to display, or sales samples for a range of industries. Many industrial products have to be sent for testing and, dependant on the products need to be fitted in a simulated application. This is usually very accurate woodworking we like to call "timber engineering".

Rocking Horses

Traditional bespoke rocking horses in three basic sizes - small, medium, and large, with a choice of finishes and tack styles. All hand carved in hardwood. We also restore old rocking horses to a level of restoration requested by the owner, from a sensitive touching up or a full repair and restore as shown below. This was a fully restored Collinson horse from circa 1960s Contact us to discus specification and price be it new or restoration.

This is a product designed by me with a Patent pending. This is for accurately and speedily repeating the edge or grind on chisels and turning tools.

Wood Working

I currently take on work of all sorts, special requirement or request for any type of wood working including turning. I specialise in making rocking horses. They are traditionally Victorian style horses. Prices are available upon commission. In addition to this, I restore old rocking horses, to a level of restoration decided by the client. For instance I currently have a late 1960 model in for a full restore to look like it did when it was new. I have restored a 90 year old tool box, for a client belonged to his father that was of sentimental value. I do a range of industrial work. Parts made in timber for industrial testing for example locks, that would go to accredited test houses to be tested in these blocks which have to be made to an exact specification, and similar for many different industries. Also sales or exhibition samples to show off product.
